Patrick Heade Memorial Challenge Match
Patrick Heade Memorial Match
If you had been looking out at Crumlin’s green on Friday evening you may have thought you were back 20 years or so… The Under 25’s of yester- year were playing an A team selection from Crumlin. It was a great occasion in honour of Patrick Heade. Patrick would have been very proud of the turnout, players turned back time and played great bowls. Some were not on a green in over a decade and after 5 or 6 ends you would never have known. In the end the “under 25 plus” won out by 5 shots. It was a great occasion with food provided by Jennifer and served by friends it was a great night. Matt Culleton provided great music till late. A special thank you to John O’Sullivan and his crew for organising a great night, a trophy and with a great donation to Irish Cancer research. The “Manager” Eddie Toner was present just to make sure none of his “boys” got into any trouble !!! How times have not changed. A big thank you to everyone who participated and organised it.
